South Carolina really does churn out excellent beauty queens. Way better than New Jersey.
I have another post here that is
intended not intended to talk about why some girl is hot.
Here’s Caitlin Upton who is Miss South Carolina Teen USA 2007. She reminds me of actress Kate Bosworth, Playmate of the Year 2006 Kara Monaco, and a younger much prettier Melora Hardin who plays Jan from the tv show The Office.
Here’s the slightly older variation of her, Ashley Zais who is Miss South Carolina USA 2007.
There’s this video floating around on Youtube and web dumps for days now about third runner up Caitlin Upton’s uncomprehensible answer to a relatively simple question.
“Recent polls have shown that a fifth of Americans can’t locate the U.S. on a world map. Why do you think this is?”
“I personally believe that U.S. Americans are unable to do so because, uhmmm, some people out there in our nation don’t have maps and uh, I believe that our, I, education like such as, uh, South Africa, and uh, the Iraq, everywhere like such as, and I believe that they should, uhhh, our education over here in the U.S. should help the U.S., uh, should help South Africa, it should help the Iraq and the Asian countries so we will be able to build up our future, for us.”
MSNBC has decided that they needed to clear the air of this “Youtube sensation” so they scheduled an interview with her that you’ll find at http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/20473692/. Honestly though…MSNBC just didn’t have anything else good to run so they chose this story. Why bother explaining her answer? No need to beat a dead embarassed horse. She had a blonde moment so she froze up, and unsurprisingly she claims she was “overwhelmed” so there you go.
It’s a real tragedy because you know this girl could have been second instead of third runner up, but not first place because she’s too hot.
